There stood the fruit salesman, behind his cart with a wide smile plastered onto his face. Just today did he decide to move into the so called 'blue zone', which was actually just the eastern district, but to 'honor' this name, he wore formal blue clothing, with a dragon in it. Hah, a Blue dragon. But importantly, wasn't there a gang like that looming around somewhere? Of course there was, and he out of all people, being in the triad, working on taking out ability users knew this better than most other people, Not that it mattered or anything. If maybe there could possibly be a situation where he would be called out for wearing such clothing, by another gang, or the blue dragons himself, that would mean that everything worked out well and according to plan.
As most people who knew him probably already know, Lau is cocky, even believing that he had the ability to do almost anything in a fighting situation, since he was trained and working for the Triad, his family, who he couldn’t, and wouldn't let them down as such, ever. Lau would take death before the fall of one of his fellow members or letting them down. Unlike some of the other members of the seven who were questioning everything, he was a blind follower, despite the fact that he had abilities himself and was killing off others who were just like him. Suddenly, within his train of thought that involved kicking rival gang member’s asses, a portly old man stood in front of his cart and asked in a low-tone of voice,
“Excuse me, How about an apple?”
The old man over the amount of money that an apple would cost in coins, and Lau thought, ‘Taking money from the enemy’s territory. Perfect’. What a great way to bankrupt them and leave them defenseless and hungry. But oh wait. He was giving them food in exchange for money. That means that they can’t go hungry as long as he’s supplying them with delicious food. Oh well, not all plans are perfect. Maybe, however, his plan to lure in some members wouldn’t fail! Thinking on what he was doing, though, Lau noted that he never received the orders to attack another gang and, well, now he was stuck in the blue dragon turf, with the possibility of getting into a fight, and then chewed out.
Maybe that wasn’t too smart and he should think things out a little more next time. But for a man like Lau, that was nearly impossible. Especially with his cocky attitude, being cocky and in a constant search for entertainment, be it fighting or watching others fight. All he could do now was hope that he had a good day and made some more money in this district than what he made in the golden district, where he had been for a while. Or maybe Lau should just quit the fruit-vendor job, stopping being nosy and prowling the streets for gossip and information and get a real job like some of the other seven?
